A prom is such a momentous event for all young adults...even more so for the ladies, as you've spent years dreaming of your prom, & even longer dreaming about your perfect wedding day!
You've spent so much time & energy preparing for exams, completing projects & assignments, which significantly impacts your future & personal development...it is such a stressful moment in your life, & definitely one of the first milestones towards adulthood.
When all that hard work pays off & university is now in sight, a massive weight is just lifted from you...& that of course needs celebrating in a special way!
Lucy had a full day of celebrations & rightly so after what she has achieved...her day began in style with a wee tipple of champagne, followed by a hair & make-up pamper session...this reminded me so much of the bridal preparations on a wedding day, there is a lot going on & I just felt like this aspect had to be photographed in the same way.
Drinks with friends & family was a must, this was where I was able to capture those first-see moments of Lucy before she was chauffeured to the incredible Nailcote Hall Hotel in Berkswell, Warwickshire for the main event.
The Fuji X-E3 was the perfect tool to document Lucy's day, it is such a compact & light setup that allowed me to truly photograph some beautiful moments...I absolutely love this camera!
When I arrived at the venue, it was evident that prom means so much more nowadays...which certainly has changed a bit from when I went to prom.
There are a lot of great images that I wanted to share, however I didn't want to overload this post too much...so here's a selection of some of my favourites.
