My approach.
A wedding day is one of life's magical moments, it's all about you & I consider it a privilege to be part of your special day.
I bring a refreshing vibrant approach & professional attitude to all aspects of photography & it's obvious that I am committed to produce a quality end result.
Being precise yet creative & the ability to understand & capture a great shot is what makes me stand out as a photographer.
The first thing I look for in my photography sessions is the feeling with the subject, I make sure that you're comfortable & relaxed, for me this is key when creating beautiful images so you get more natural & spontaneous photographs.
My style is largely documentary in nature, favouring a timeless approach to my wedding photography. I let you experience your moments as they happen whilst being unobtrusive, blending in with your guests & making sure your most cherished moments are captured beautifully.
I document moments by observing, not really directing, though I can lend gentle direction to help you feel more comfortable & natural in front of the camera.
At the end of the day I want you to look back on your images later, remembering how your day actually was & feeling that same excitement as you did when you first looked through your pictures.

In order for me to give an excellent experience to each of my couples, I take on a strictly limited number of weddings per year. Please do contact me as soon as possible if you're keen to secure your date.
Who will actually take my photographs?
Me!
I will personally photograph your wedding or session & process all of the images myself.
I don't outsource or cover more than one event per day.
How long have you been doing this?
I have been offering photography services part-time since 2016 & have had the luxury of photographing couples from a variety of backgrounds.
I only take on a limited number of weddings per year, which allows me to provide an excellent experience to each of my couples. So please do contact me as soon as possible if you're wanting to book.
What camera's do you use?
I have recently replaced my rather weighty Nikon DSLR's for a much lighter & much more compact setup that Fuji offer.
The Fuji camera's I use are much smaller which compliments my documentary style. They're mirrorless camera's that in my opinion produce far superior quality images & are pretty much silent!
Plus I absolutely adore the retro-styling & Fuji's gorgeous film simulations!
Do you travel?
I absolutely do! I currently live in Willenhall, West Midlands (not far from Birmingham) & am available for your big day all over the UK.

Can we meet with you?
Yes of course. I love meeting all of my couples either in person or via zoom (depending on your location), definitely with a latte though!

How many photos do we get?
This totally depends on your session & collection choice.
Typically for a full day wedding, you'll get over 1000 images, depending on how jam-packed your day is.
For a 2 hour photo shoot, you'll get over 200 images.
How do we get our photos?
A handful of sneak peak shots will go onto social media a couple of days after your wedding.
All images are provided via online gallery & digital download. The gallery link gets emailed to you & you can download images straight from there to your computer or phone. Galleries stay active for 12 months, so you have plenty of time to save & print.
Do you retouch photos?
I only lightly edit photos to match my editing style portrayed on my website & socials. I am a firm believer that the more natural an image is, the more beautiful the photo.
Do we get photos in colour or black & white?
I love taking photos & want you to have them all, I also think black & white images have that extra quality about them that makes them even more special.
So you will receive all photos in colour, plus all photos in black & white.
What is your turnaround time?
I try to be pretty efficient with my turnaround time as I know how anxious it can be waiting for your photos. Photo shoots are never more than 3 weeks. Weddings are, generally, no more than 8 weeks (depending on my schedule).
I always try to get wedding sneak peaks out within 48 hours though!
What's the presentation box process?
Once you have picked your 10 favourite images from your online gallery, I will process your order with the print company 24 hours later, after which time unfortunately no amendments can be made.
What's the album design process?
Once you have picked your favourite images from your online gallery (60-80 is the sweet spot), I will then get to work on designing your album, which generally takes 2 weeks.
You will then get an album proof via email, which needs to be approved by you before it gets sent to the print company. If you want anything changed, this is the best time to do it so let me know.
Once I have received approval from you, I process your album order with the print company 24 hours later, after which time unfortunately no amendments can be made.
What options do we have with our album & presentation box?
To keep things simple, all albums come with 20 spreads (40 pages), & are finished in a gorgeous natural raw linen with gold embossing on the cover as standard.
The diamond folio presentation box comes with 10 fine art prints, is finished in a fabulous black diamond pattern & rose gold embossing on the classically designed lift off lid as standard.

When do we get our album & presentation box?
Once I have received your album & presentation box from the print company, I thoroughly check everything to make sure it's all correct & the best quality.
I will let you know when they're ready & to arrange a delivery date.
I always tell couples to allow up to 6 weeks once the order has been placed, this is usually much quicker though!
Can family & friends order albums & prints from you?
Absolutely! A store is integrated into your online gallery.
Anyone you share your online gallery link with is able to order albums & prints through the store.
Everyone is able to download images as well!
How do we book you?
To make it official, contact me first to check my availability, then we'll schedule a call so I can hear more details.
Once I've received your deposit along with a signed contract, your date is secure & you will get booking confirmation via email.
How far in advance do we need to book?
This totally depends on session type. For photo shoot sessions I can generally accommodate for 1 to 2 months ahead. For weddings, this totally depends on the couple, but I recommend booking at least 1 year ahead. Please reach out sooner rather than later, I get booked up pretty quickly!
Can we book an engagement shoot?
I always recommend that couples book an engagement shoot, as this creates the perfect opportunity to meet in person & gets you used to me & the camera.
If there isn't one included in your chosen collection, an engagement shoot will cost £200, take approximately 2 hours at a location of your choice (preferably somewhere meaningful to you), they're always fun & a great way for us to get to know each other.
Plus you get some fabulous images out of it too!
Can we have a secondary photographer?
If you're after additional coverage or wanting the groom's prep to be photographed too, then a secondary photographer is a great option.
A secondary photographer is available from a small group of photographers that I personally know & trust for an additional £250 cost for the full day.
How much do you charge?
Full details of the collections I offer, which include latest prices, can be found on the pricing page on my website.
Non-refundable retainer deposits are required when booking, £200 for weddings & £75 for photo shoot sessions.
Can we spread the cost?
Absolutely you can! Everyone's situation is different, so I try to accommodate my couples as best I can.
Once you've booked & paid the deposit, you're free to make payments as & when you wish or pay the remaining balance in full, whatever is easiest for you.
However, the remaining balance does need to be paid 4 weeks before your wedding date.
